Upcoming Events
If you haven’t made a
leaf yet, our next community mosaic leaf making event will be on Saturday, September 9 at 1:30pm. Volunteers note: volunteers, please arrive at 1:00.
We also have a sample template (will open the file in Dropbox), in case you want to have fun and brainstorm before the session.
Please arrive on time and be aware that it will take extra time to find parking (or better yet, walk or ride your bike.)
OR.... if you’ve already made a leaf, we’d love for you to help volunteer at a leaf making day and to share the meaning of your leaf: inspiring others to consider what they care most about and possibly to open up to seeing and support your cause, too.
Previous Events
On Friday, May 19 the Museum of Art and History in Santa Cruz is hosting an event they’re calling History Jam. Mosaics with Meaning will be there, hosting part of the evening’s activities. Please join us! Anyone attending the evening’s events will be invited to get in touch with their feelings as they consider what they care about at this time in history and to contribute to our mosaic "communi-tree" in several creative ways. We’ll also be asking people to consider where our tree might “live” in Santa Cruz. We’re hoping it will be a fun and interactive way for everyone to consider how we’re actually making history as we touch into what we care about, especially during these politically turbulent times. The word is getting out quickly now, so please also let us know you’ll be coming by registering at the hyperlinks above. (Apologies if this seems a bit impersonal. It’ll help us be prepared for you!)
Or simply, read this blog to get the latest news about how this project is unfolding.
